Yes. The core browser — including built-in ad and tracker blocking — is free. Premium is an optional subscription that turns on the extended filter lists and aggressive redirect defenses; it starts with a 3-day free trial.
We distribute Olympus Browser directly from this site so the full feature set ships as designed and updates ship on our schedule. The honest trade-off: you install it yourself (five steps, in our guide) and no store reviews it first — so every build is signed and its SHA-256 hash is published on the download page for anyone to verify.
It depends entirely on the source — that's true of any direct download. Only ever download Olympus Browser from this site, check that the app name and shield icon match at install time, and if you want certainty, verify the file's SHA-256 against the hash we publish (how). The app verifies its own updates the same way and refuses a file whose hash doesn't match.
Not today. Apple doesn't allow downloading browsers (or any apps) to ordinary iPhones from a website — iPhone distribution runs through Apple's App Store, which for us would also mean a separate, from-scratch iOS build. We're Android first, and we're reviewing the iPhone options honestly rather than promising a download we can't deliver. Watch this page: if an iPhone route opens up, this is where we'll announce it.
Olympus Browser's filter-list blocking applies to web pages opened in the browser, including YouTube's web pages — ad requests there are blocked the same way they are on any other site, and videos on web pages can play in the background. Blocking is filter-based and cannot be total: sites change their plumbing, and an occasional ad can slip through until the lists catch up. We keep the lists current; we don't promise magic. The Features page explains the mechanisms.
The app periodically checks this site's update feed. When a newer build exists, it shows you the version and release notes and asks — nothing downloads or installs without your tap. The downloaded update is verified against its published hash before install.
With a license key. You subscribe on this site; we email you a key; you paste it into the app under ⋮ → Premium. No store account, and the validation check sends only the key and the app version — never anything about your browsing.
The browser needs no account and includes no analytics about your browsing. History, bookmarks, and settings stay on your phone, and Clear browsing data wipes them whenever you ask. If you send a feedback report, it contains only what you type, plus the app version and device model you can see before sending.
Feedback lives in the app: ⋮ → Feedback, arriving in the next build (vc59). Reports go straight to the team — a bug, a suggestion, or anything else — with an optional email field if you'd like a reply. Until that build reaches you, the fastest route is to note the site and what happened, and send it with the first report once the form appears; reports are read, counted, and tracked until they're fixed or answered.
